www.writersbookcase.com.au is the online shop for Writers Bookcase, a mail order book shop situated in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia.

What kinds of books does Writers Bookcase offer?

We sell books in many categories. They include bargain books, some of which have shop-worn covers or remainder marks. Remaindered books become available when a publisher produces too many of a title and sells the excess at low prices (often after putting a marker-pen stroke through the barcode). We also stock new, unmarked, books at, or below, recommended retail prices.

How quickly will I get my books? Will it cost me a lot for postage?

If you are in Australia you will generally have your books within a few days of our getting your order. We try to hold stocks of all books we advertise and post them within 24 hours of receiving your order. However, we also list on our website titles that are on order. We are regularly ordering bargain-priced books for transport by surface from overseas. So a title on order could be available the next day or it could be six or so weeks. As some titles are in short supply, ordering early is wise and we welcome inquiries about availability and delivery times. Replacement stocks of new books arrive much faster from Australian publishers and distributors or by air-freight from overseas.

Our post and packing charges are averaged for Australian addresses and are close to our average cost price. Overseas customers should contact us before placing their order so we can quote prices for economy air and airmail postage. See Delivery for further details.

Is it safe to use my credit card to shop at Writers Bookcase?

Protecting your order information is one of our top priorities.
